Teacher/Coach
Primary Purpose:

Provide a holistic approach to each student’s education, while developing the skills needed to excel in the sport(s) assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
-
Bachelor’s degree
-
Valid Texas teaching certificate
-
Teaching field is open
-
Current first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate
-
Clear and valid Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
Special Knowledge/Skills:
-
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Understanding of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules.

Knowledge of sports specific coaching techniques and procedures, to include film breakdown, practice planning, and individual position management.
-
Ability to instruct and hold student athletes accountable within a championship caliber culture.
- Ability to operate within the bounds of the Queen City Athletic department’s core values - Relationships, Growth, Belief, Integrity, Discipline and Service.
Experience:
- One year of teaching/coaching experience and/or Professional/College/Varsity participant experience in the sport assigned.
