The Department of Occupational Therapy in the College of Health Sciences at Marquette University invites applications for an adjunct position in the entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Program. Rank and salary commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will join an innovative team in the didactic and clinical development and implementation of the OTD program in compliance with the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) educational standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include primary oversight and administrative management of level I fieldwork in the mental health setting. Prior experience in the mental health field strongly preferred. Travel to/from clinical and community fieldwork and doctoral experiential sites is an expectation and requirement of this position. This role requires significant outreach, contact with, and timely communication with external constituents. Must fulfill duties as assigned by the Chair of the OT Department and/or the Dean of the College.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum qualifications: an earned doctoral degree from a USDE regionally accredited institution; current Wisconsin licensure as an occupational therapist (or eligibility for licensure) in good standing; current National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT); at least 5 years clinical practice experience as an Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will promote and demonstrate professional behavior consistent with the standards of the occupational therapy profession and be committed to the core values of a Jesuit university.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred qualifications: documented previous experience working in mental health settings and documented experience teaching in an occupational therapy education program; evidence of engagement in community-based practice.
