Duties
- Conduct comprehensive boat driving lessons, both in classroom settings and on-the-water practical sessions
- Develop and utilize instructional materials tailored to different learning styles and skill levels
- Provide clear guidance on safety protocols, navigation techniques, and maritime laws
- Assess student progress through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment for all participants
- Coordinate with students to schedule lessons that fit their availability and learning goals
- Foster a positive attitude towards boating safety, environmental responsibility, and teamwork
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain discipline and focus during lessons
- Experience developing instructional materials that enhance learning outcomes
- Proven ability to tutor students of varying ages and skill levels in boat operation
- Familiarity with online instruction tools for remote or hybrid training sessions
- Experience working with children, youth programs, or adult learners in educational settings
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts and safety instructions
- Background in coaching or mentoring students to achieve their best performance
- Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus for engaging diverse student populations
- Childcare or childcare-related experience is beneficial for working with younger learners
- Extensive classroom experience in teaching practical skills or technical subjects
