Responsibilities
Provide high-quality PACU nursing care to post-anesthesia patients on-site.
Monitor vitals, manage pain, and identify complications for early intervention.
Coordinate with surgical team to ensure smooth handoffs and discharge planning.
Document patient status and care activities in electronic medical records.
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols in all post-anesthesia care.
Meet performance metrics and contribute to pipeline-based target tracking.
Utilize critical thinking to triage and escalate care when needed.
Pursue continuous professional development and participate in targeted trainings.
Educate patients and families about recovery expectations and post-discharge care.
Collaborate with the team to optimize workflow and minimize non-value activities.
Support a culture of merit-based advancement through measurable outcomes.
Experience/Qualifications
Valid RN license with current state board certification.
Current ACLS and PALS or equivalent post-anesthesia care certifications.
Proven PACU experience with vitals monitoring and pain management in post-anesthesia care.
Ability to triage, escalate, and respond to emergencies with critical thinking.
Performance-driven with track record of meeting care metrics and target-oriented work.
Strong documentation skills in electronic medical records with surgical handoff experience.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and patient safety compliance.
Excellent teamwork with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff; strong communication skills.
Commitment to professional development and participation in targeted trainings.
On-site availability for contract role with willingness to adapt to pipeline-based workflows.
