Overview
A dynamic, client-focused RN with management experience to lead clinical operations in a spa and medical spa (Medi Spa) setting. This role combines high-quality patient care, aesthetic treatments, and team leadership to ensure exceptional service, safety, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Clinical leadership and patient care**
Perform and supervise aesthetic treatments (e.g., facials, chemical peels, laser therapies, injectables under supervision, skincare consultations) in accordance with scope of practice and clinic protocols.
Assess and triage patients, develop personalized treatment plans, and monitor post-treatment outcomes.
Ensure adherence to infection control, safety standards, and OSHA guidelines; maintain accurate medical records and consent forms.
Manage medication administration, injections, and device usage per licensed scope and clinic policy.
Operational management**
Lead daily clinic operations, including scheduling, workload distribution, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clinical and spa services; implement quality assurance programs.
Collaborate with medical directors, licensed aestheticians, and support staff to optimize service delivery and patient experience.
Manage budget, payroll, and vendor relationships; participate in financial forecasting and profitability analysis.
Regulatory compliance and risk management**
Ensure compliance with state nursing regulations, medical spa laws, and telemedicine/healthcare privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA where applicable).
Oversee informed consent processes, treatment contraindications, and adverse event reporting.
Lead routine compliance audits, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.
Team leadership and development**
Recruit, train, and mentor clinical and spa staff; conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development.
Foster a culture of patient safety, teamwork, and exceptional guest experiences.
Schedule coverage for vacations, emergencies, and peak periods; manage leaves and credentialing.
Patient experience and branding**
Highlight consultative approaches, skincare education, and aftercare guidance.
Promote services, seasonal promotions, and memberships to maximize client retention and satisfaction.
Represent the brand in a professional, compassionate manner; ensure privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
Education & licensure**
Active RN license in the state of employment.
Specialty certifications in aesthetics (e.g., laser safety, injectables supervision where required, chemical peels) preferred.
CPR/ACLS certification as required by state or clinic policy.
Experience
3+ years of clinical nursing experience; 1+ year in a spa, medical spa, or cosmetic dermatology setting preferred.
Proven management or leadership experience in a healthcare, spa, or aesthetic environment (e.g., lead nurse, clinic supervisor, or practice manager).
Skills**
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and customer service; ability to educate patients and staff.
Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR), patient scheduling, and inventory systems.
Knowledge of laser, light-based devices, injectables, dermal fillers, neurotoxins, and skincare regimens (as applicable by scope).
