Position Overview:
FM Search is scaling its engineering and support organization rapidly, and we are seeking a high-velocity Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for multiple technical IT roles (Engineers, Developers, Team Leads, etc.). Speed is the defining requirement of this position: you will be measured on time-to-fill, pipeline throughput, and offer-accept rates.
You will source, screen, and close engineers for a modern TypeScript/AWS serverless stack and AI-focused roles, partnering directly with the CTO and hiring leads to keep candidate flow high and hiring cycles short. The ideal candidate has personally recruited and closed IT talent globally, with particular focus on the US and Ireland. You will be able to technically screen candidates against a specific stack with independence and a high sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for all open technical roles: intake through close.
- Build and maintain high-volume candidate pipelines through direct sourcing on LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, job boards, communities, and referral programs.
- Conduct effective first-round technical screens against each role’s specific requirements, including hard filters and “Red Flags” to ensure that hiring managers see qualified candidates.
- Drive the interview process with urgency(same-week scheduling, tight feedback loops, and proactive candidate communication) to avoid candidate drop-off.
- Track and report weekly recruiting metrics — pipeline volume by role, stage conversion rates, time-in-stage, time-to-fill, and offer-accept rate — and flag bottlenecks to the CTO.
- Manage relationships and priorities across multiple simultaneous requisitions, rebalancing sourcing effort as roles fill or priorities shift.
- Conduct standard recruiting administration work (Writing job postings and screening questions, managing background checks, etc.).
- Verify work authorization early in the process (we do not sponsor visas) and screen for remote-work readiness.
- Coordinate smooth and efficient handoffs to the IT team for onboarding.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of global technical recruiting experience with a demonstrated record of fast fills for software engineering roles (sub-45-day time-to-fill).
- Strong fluency and success recruiting for modern cloud/SaaS and AI/ML stacks(i.e., Node.js, React, AWS, LLM).
- Experience running multiple concurrent requisitions (5+) in a fast paced, fully remote environment.
- Strong closing skills: comp conversations, competing-offer management, and keeping candidates warm through the process.
- Metrics-driven operating style with clean pipeline hygiene and clear weekly reporting.
- Familiarity with assessment tools and structured interview design.
