We are looking for a current paralegal with experience in family law or a recent graduate from a paralegal program to train and grow with our firm.
The job duties include answering the phone, getting the mail out, organization of documents, scanning and emailing, and phone calls to clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized. Paralegal will be drafting court forms, drafting client declarations, drafting points and authorities, drafting discovery responses, drafting settlement conference briefs, and drafting trial briefs.
We are located in Little Italy.
We work exclusively in family law representing clients on a wide variety of issues.
The office is Mac based. We use MicroSoft Office, the billing and firm organizational program-MYCASE, and we use Lawyaw (Clio Draft) for our legal forms program.

- Answering the Phone

- Manage Calendar and Deadlines
- Prepare for Settlement Conferences and Trials
- Review and draft routine legal documents
- Drafting court pleadings
- Drafting and organization of discovery
- Create and maintain case files
- Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
- Conduct legal research
- Fluency in Apple/Mac and/or Microsoft Office software is a plus
- Experience with MYCASE and Court Forms is a plus
- Experience with legal research and court rules is a plus
- Associates Degree or Undergraduate Degree is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
