THE WORK SCHEDULE IS SUNDAY TO THURSDAY; 8AM TO 4PM
Job Description

Experience Required: 6 months to 1 year HR administrative experience
-
Experience Required: MS Office suite, Kronos UKG timekeeping software, Workday HCMS.

Experience strongly desired: Processing payroll for a unionized workforce
-
Experience Desired: Knowledge of HR related DOT regulations;
-
Knowledge of labor agreements.

Understanding of OSHA safety regulations;

Knowledge of general HR laws

Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent with 18 months+ of additional training
Job Responsibilities
THIS ROLE IS ON-SITE WORK MODEL, THE WORK SCHEDULE IS SUNDAY TO THURSDAY 8AM TO 4PM

Process weekly payroll, including pre-close, pay report review, overtime & labor reporting, payroll submission, paycheck adjustments, accumulated hours book and vacation/holiday tracking to guarantee Team Members receive accurate pay

Manage attendance tracking of both tardies and absence incidents of all Team Members, maintaining documentation of attendance write-ups along with proper disposition of medical documents and doctor's excuses to ensure accurate records are retained for the store's reference

Assist with Team Members' issues, including leaves of absence, payroll discrepancies and coordination of unemployment documentation and witnesses for hearings. Assist HR Dept. with addressing concerns, investigations and executing disciplinary actions as needed. Encourage open lines of communication with Operations leadership to ensure Team Members' needs are met.

Submit quarterly/yearly perfect attendance bonus information for payout

Submit status change notifications, data entry transactions and terminations to ensure accurate and timely information is obtained and any inconsistencies can be resolved.

Organize and facilitate new hire orientations, which includes creating name tags, scheduling new hires for orientation, reviewing policies and procedures, and completing new hire paperwork and I-9 verifications; assist with recruiting activities as needed, including position creation,

Update and post bid letters if applicable.

Adhere to and understand the collective bargaining agreement (if applicable) in order to be knowledgeable of vacation and holiday policies and procedures.

Take responsibility for miscellaneous payroll matters, handling punches, scheduling issues and UKG maintenance.

Follow up on I-9 verifications for Team Members (I-9 certification required).

Assist fellow HR Team Members(s) as needed

The hiring range for this position is $20.25– $23.625 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. Eligible employees may be offered health, vision, and dental insurance, personal/sick paid time, 401(k) retirement savings plan, bonus potential, paid bereavement, vacation and paid holidays.
