Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
- Manage classroom activities to foster positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents to share progress updates, address concerns, and build strong partnerships supporting each child's growth.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including first aid and CPR certification requirements.
- Document child development milestones and participate in assessments such as standardized testing or early intervention programs when necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom organization, and implementing specialized programs like Montessori or inclusive education for children with special needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or early intervention is a plus.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education tailored for young learners.
- Ability to follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child welfare and safety at all times.
- Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous.
- A genuine passion for nurturing early childhood growth through innovative teaching methods such as Montessori or preschool teaching techniques.
