Overview
Our team is looking at to add a Garbage Truck Driver! CDL and background check required.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Collect waste from designated residential, commercial, or industrial locations following scheduled routes with precision and timeliness
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to verify air brake systems, manual transmissions, and other mechanical components are functioning correctly before each shift
- Maintain accurate records of waste collection activities, including logs for load & unload times and route completion
- Follow safety protocols diligently by practicing defensive driving techniques and adhering to hazard communication standards during all operations
- Assist with the maintenance of trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of garbage trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers for troubleshooting minor issues and routine maintenance
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles with in compliance with DOT and state transportation regulations
Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
