River Roost Apartments is looking for a reliable, hardworking Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position plays a critical role in keeping our 141-unit community operating at a high level by delivering quality service to residents, maintaining apartment homes, and ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and understands that great maintenance is one of the most important drivers of resident satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Complete resident service requests professionally and efficiently
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general maintenance issues
- Prepare apartment homes for new residents, including painting, drywall repair, cleaning, and general turn work
- Perform preventative maintenance and property inspections
- Maintain community amenities, common areas, and grounds
- Assist with capital improvement projects and property upkeep
- Maintain shop organization and inventory
- Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and teammates
Requirements
- At least one year of maintenance, construction, facilities, or skilled trades experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general maintenance practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, carry, and move maintenance equipment and supplies
On-Call Requirement
This position participates in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation. Candidates must be available and willing to respond to emergency maintenance calls outside of normal business hours. Participation in the on-call rotation is a required part of the position.
