We are a rapidly expanding organization seeking a Freight Logistics Assistant to support our Roadshow and Special Events Team. This entry-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented, motivated team player with strong communication and computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel. We are willing to train the right candidate for this office position. The Freight Logistics Assistant will help coordinate the movement of event equipment nationwide. Responsibilities include validating shipping documentation, maintaining accurate shipment data in our CRM and financial system (NetSuite), monitoring inbound and outbound deliveries, identifying and resolving shipping issues, and assisting with inventory recovery across multiple warehouse locations.
Key Responsibilities – Tradeshow Inventory & Logistics
- Book and track inbound and outbound shipments from multiple warehouse facilities nationwide.
- Process and validate shipping documentation for all orders
- Maintain accurate delivery ETA timelines for company-attended events
- Enter and maintain supply chain data within NetSuite
- Communicate with freight carriers to obtain shipment updates
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with event management companies
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners before, during, and after events
- Assist with inventory recovery and reconciliation across multiple locations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; college coursework or degree preferred
- Freight and shipment tracking software, and logistics software experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Independent thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Must be able to lift 30-50 Lbs.
- Must be able to be on their feet for 1-2 hours
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay between $18–$20, based on experience
