Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them through menus with enthusiasm and detailed knowledge of offerings.
- Take accurate orders for food and beverages, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure swift processing.
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, demonstrating expertise in mixology and beverage recipe development.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Process cash transactions efficiently while managing tabs and ensuring accurate cash handling throughout shifts.
- Engage with guests to promote specials, upsell menu items, and enhance their overall experience through excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods such as banquets or catering events.
- Keep current on beverage trends, including brewing techniques and wine knowledge, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality industry roles, preferably with fine dining or bar management backgrounds.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cashiering and processing cash transactions is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in mixology, cocktail creation, wine knowledge, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math skills for retail math and cash handling.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during high-volume shifts.
- Prior experience with banquet service or catering environments is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering outstanding customer service.
