A growing and established manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join its Finance & Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and has strong experience with corporate accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and maintain accuracy of financial data
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with US GAAP
- Maintain and analyze accounting records, including AP and AR activities
- Assist with inventory reconciliations and inventory-related accounting transactions
- Support intercompany accounting and other corporate accounting functions
- Prepare sales reports, management reports, and ad hoc financial analyses
- Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for process improvement
- Assist with tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes
- Provide guidance and support to AP and AR team members
- Work cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience within a U.S.-based company
- Corporate accounting experience required
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with accounting systems/software; SAP experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Mandarin speaking preferred but not required
