Duties
- Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, utilizing organizational skills to optimize time and resources.
- Load and unload merchandise with care, employing heavy lifting techniques when necessary to prevent injury.
- Engage with customers professionally, building strong relationships through clear communication and excellent service.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, contributing to sales goals while enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for accountability and reporting purposes.
- Ensure vehicles are well-maintained through routine inspections and coordinate repairs or servicing as needed.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving or commercial truck driving preferred.
- Strong math skills for pricing calculations, route planning, and basic accounting tasks.
- Proven ability in customer relationship building and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Experience in retail store environments or merchandising is a plus.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe lifting practices, and automobile transportation standards.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading or unloading processes.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries and maintain accurate records effectively.
