Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth.
- Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive, engaging environment for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies that encourage cooperation and respect.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment following health and safety regulations including first aid and CPR certification.
Qualifications
- An Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, elementary education or a related field.
- Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting, including classroom management and child welfare practices.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early childhood education standards.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a classroom confidently while fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity.
- Prior experience with toddler care, classroom experience with preschoolers, and familiarity with childhood development milestones are highly valued.
