Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare exams rooms
- Maintain and organize exam room inventory and supplies
- Bring patient from waiting room to exam room
- Prepare patients for examinations, including patient histories
- Explain treatments and procedures to patients
- Assist the medical provider during examinations and procedures
- Visit dictation from provider, transcription, and notation
- Medical record preparation and documentation
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
- Instruct patients about medications
- Transmit prescription information as directed
- Wound care and dressing
- Suture removal
- Proper disposal of sharps
- Proper disposal of harmful/contaminated biochemical and medical waste
- Proper cleaning, sterilization, and storage of stainless steel instruments
- Ability to assist multiple providers, as necessary
- Prepare clinical tests and standard chemical solutions used in patient examination and treatment
- HIPAA compliance
- Undertake additional responsibilities as needed by management

- At least one year of experience as a medical assistant or a similar role
