Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sit-Down Clamp Forklift Operator / Stand-Up Clamp Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating specialized heavy equipment to handle, load, unload, and organize materials within our distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse distribution, order picking, and heavy equipment operation will ensure efficient flow of goods and maintain a safe working environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation while utilizing your forklift skills and warehouse experience.
Duties
- Safely operate sit-down clamp forklifts and stand-up clamp forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring proper handling of goods with pallet jacks, cranes, and heavy equipment
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and heavy machinery to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with OSHA standards
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols for materials handling
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve operational workflows
Skills
- Proven experience operating sit-down clamp forklifts, stand-up clamp forklifts.
- Strong warehouse distribution knowledge including order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards for heavy equipment operation and materials handling
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for accurate order processing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining productivity standards
- Construction or warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for understanding operational workflows
