Our client in West Bridgewater, MA is seeking a Janitor for their manufacturing facility
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies
- Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies
- Empties trash receptacles, hazard bins into a hazard barrel, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal
- Ensure common areas such as break rooms, lobbies, and kitchenettes are cleaned and stocked
- Maintain breakroom
- Follow instructions about chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace
- Wash and buff floors including the manufacturing facility
- Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and orderly
- Maintain, submit a purchase requisition, and restock cleaning materials and supplies
- Make note of the need for equipment repair
- Report any potential food safety, quality or food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
- Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems
- Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
- Must follow all company policies and procedures
Essential skills and experience:
- Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
- Other duties as required

Physical demands and work environment:
- Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risk, which require following basic safety precautions. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. May be exposed to high noise levels that required hearing protection.
