Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and seating areas
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and restocking supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction
- Engage with customers to promote special offerings and upsell products
Requirements
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash register operations
- Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
- A genuine passion for coffee and café culture
- Excellent attendance record
