Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Lead Decorative Concrete Installer to oversee and perform decorative concrete installations for residential and commercial projects. This position requires the ability to apply a variety of concrete coating finishes, the ability to lead a crew, maintain equipment, manage inventory, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage installation crews on decorative concrete projects
- Prepare concrete surfaces through grinding, cleaning, repairing, and profiling
- Install decorative concrete systems including: Spray texture overlays, Knockdown textures, Epoxy and resinous flooring, Concrete stains and dyes, Pigmented sealers, Flake flooring systems, Polished concrete, Wood-look concrete finishes
- Mix and apply coating materials according to manufacturer specifications
- Operate tools and equipment including grinders, mixers, pressure washers, sprayers, and hand tools
- Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and supplies for upcoming jobs
- Load, organize, clean, and maintain company trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance or repair needs
- Ensure projects meet company quality standards and customer expectations
- Read job specifications and communicate project progress with management
- Train and mentor crew members on installation techniques and jobsite procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Troubleshoot installation issues and make field adjustments when necessary
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in decorative concrete, concrete coatings, epoxy flooring, or related construction trades preferred
- Leadership or crew management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation and coating application techniques
- Ability to read and follow technical product specifications
- Experience operating grinders and specialty flooring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Dependable, self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented
