Job Description:
Dining Services at Madison College Truax Branch Campus is seeking a Food Services Associate to join their team and collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, focusing on executing services, initiatives, projects, and events for Madison College Dining Services.
The Food Services Associate, who reports to the Executive Chef, plays a key role in creating innovating menu ideas and service strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities include resource management, informed decision-making, fostering customer relationships, and supplying data to department heads about daily operations. This position does not have any direct reports.
Position Details:
Schedule: This is a full time, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. No evenings or weekends.

Accountabilities:
- Prepares hot and cold beverages by following standardized recipes to ensure consistency and quality in all drink components.

Supports food preparation by prepping ingredients and assembling meals according to service standards.

Performs cleaning tasks by maintaining sanitation standards, cleaning work areas and ensuring equipment and serving stations are properly maintained.

Manages inventory and supplies by processing deliveries, restocking coolers and supply areas and ensuring proper storage of food and beverage items.

Manages inventory needs by tracking stock levels, identifying shortages and preparing order lists to maintain product availability.

Contributes to an inclusive, equitable and supportive environment where everyone at the institution feels valued, respected and empowered to reach their full potential.

Performs other related duties within the scope of the position as required for the efficient operation of the division and to support institutional objectives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards.

Ability to perform cleaning tasks to maintain food service work areas, equipment and serving stations.

Minimum Requirements:

High School or equivalent additional work experience

Ability to obtain a ServSafe Certification during the onboarding process
