Overview
Foot + Ankle Specialty Centers is seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting providers, ensuring efficient patient flow, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation while adhering to all clinical, regulatory, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment while providing compassionate patient care.
Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, including explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Support physicians during in office procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment; assist in the setup sterile field for procedures when necessary.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
- Assist with incoming patients calls
- Schedule follow-up appointments
- Process clinical forms and patient documentation
- Assist with prior authorizations and referrals as needed
- Assist with ABI/SUDO tests, x-rays, laser, and shockwave treatments
- Perform nail care for patients
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
