Since 1846, our world-renowned passenger vessels have been providing up close boat tours in Niagara Falls, NY, USA to customers near and far. The 2020 season saw the debut of two new, all-electric, emission-free vessels, the first of their kind built in the U.S.
JOB SUMMARY
This position’s primary focus is retail responsibilities including customer service, receiving, stocking, selling Maid of the Mist souvenir merchandise, and routine cleaning. Daytime and evening shifts are available.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Store clerks are responsible for greeting and assisting customers.
· Store clerks are responsible for folding and ticketing merchandise
· Store clerks are responsible for stocking and maintaining a busy retail sales floor
· Store cashiers are required, with training to proficiently operate a computer POS
· Store cashiers will assist on the sales floor and receive freight when needed
· Store clerks and cashiers will interact with the public on a daily basis
· Other duties or tasks may be assigned based on organizational needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the role applicants MUST meet the following criteria.
· Excellent communication skills working with visitors with diverse backgrounds and native languages
· Strong attention to detail, follow-through, efficiency, productivity, and thorough task completion
· Ability to work well under pressure
· Perform tasks independently with limited or no direction
· The ability to work professionally with the public
· Must be able to lift 25-30 lbs.
· Store cashiers must be able to maintain a stationary position throughout the shift
ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS: Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, light lifting, carrying. All the ergonomic requirements must be performed without significant risk of injury to oneself or others or otherwise demonstrate or explain how one can perform essential functions listed above.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to clearly read, speak, and understand English. Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions while working independently. Must be authorized to work in the US. Background check may be required
