Clinical Manager – Cardiac, Vascular, & Thoracic Operating Room (CVTOR)
Location: Front Royal, VA | Status: Interim (up to 12 months) or Permanent | Salary: Negotiable
Role Mix: 80% Leadership & Administration / 20% Clinical
Position Overview
We are recruiting a Clinical Manager to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for a growing 300–600 annual heart surgery program. This role partners with executive leadership to drive program expansion, clinical excellence, budget oversight, and team engagement across Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic specialties.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Expand surgical capabilities, introduce new procedures, and track departmental KPIs.
- Operations & Finance: Manage departmental budgets, optimize workflows, and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Team Leadership: Direct staffing, recruitment, employee retention, and foster a culture of high reliability and safety.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required (BSN required for RN applicants; CST applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree). MSN preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years in a leadership or Charge RN role required; 5+ years of progressive CVTOR clinical experience preferred.
- Licensure & Certifications: Active VA or Compact RN license (where applicable); AHA BLS required upon hire; CNOR required within 2 years of hire.
