Position Overview:
The Inventory Specialist /Shipping Clerk is responsible for the preparing, verifying, and coordinating outgoing shipments. This role ensures inventory integrity through detailed verification processes, generating shipping documentation, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory and shipment records. The position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with inventory systems (SAGE), and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
This individual plays a critical role in supporting field and operational teams by ensuring on‑time delivery, accurate tracking of shipments and inventory, and compliance with all company policies and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments in accordance with work orders and shipping schedules
- Generate shipping documents including packing list, bills of lading and labels
- Inspect and verify accuracy of quantity and quality of all incoming deliveries.
- Update shipping transactions and maintain accurate account of inventory utilizing SAGE.
- Inspect and verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of all incoming deliveries
- Operate forklifts to move, store, and handle materials. Must be forklift certified
- Ability to use a computer to record inventory levels in company database
- Regularly inspect and maintain all material handling equipment
- Maintain a safe work area and report any unsafe situations immediately
- Perform all work in accordance with AES safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior warehouse, inventory control, or material handling experience preferred
- Experience using inventory management systems (SAGE preferred)
- Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain certification)
- Ability to accurately inspect and verify incoming shipments for quantity and quality
- Proficiency using a computer required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
- Ability to maintain accurate daily records of materials handled and moved
- Ability to lift, move, and carry materials in accordance with job demands
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
