Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must check all paperwork for accuracy
- Must be detail oriented and well organized
- Maintain Time Sheet hours and following applicable state and federal regulations
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
- Secure cargo for transportation, using chains, binders, tarps, bungee cords and ratchet
- Turn in proper documentation to its designated office daily
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicles
- Maintain a clean environment in the inside and outside of the truck
- Be able to perform pre trip and post trip inspections of vehicles, trailers and equipment
- Must be able to work nights and weekends on-call
- Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
- Answer phone calls from dispatch
- Wear proper PPE and FR uniforms

Qualifications

Valid Texas Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement is a must!
- (Tanker with Hazmat is a plus, But is not a must.)
- Must be able to pass background check, , and pass a drug screen
- Effective and professional communication skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Professional appearance
- Read bill of lading to determine assignment details
- Answer phone calls from dispatch
- Possess Excellent time management skills
- Must be able to communicate with customers for delivery
- Possess strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain professional and cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work
