COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Westermeyer Industries designs, manufactures, and distributes high-quality components and accessories for the refrigeration and air-conditioning industries. Products include pressure vessels such as oil separators, receivers, accumulators, oil filters, condensers, and evaporators, as well as level and pressure detection devices and a range of replacement parts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS
- Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange the purchase of equipment, materials and parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Engineering and technology: knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Production and processing: knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Computers and electronics: knowledge of processors, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Mathematics: education and understanding of which mathematics to use and the ability to choose the proper mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
- Critical thinking: using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in either Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3-5 years of engineering experience
