Position Overview
This is a temporary full-time assignment expected to run from approximately late July through mid-October to provide coverage during an employee leave of absence. There may be future employment opportunities based on business needs and performance, but this position is intended as a temporary assignment.
This role requires strong attention to detail, ownership, and the ability to coordinate across warehouse, dispatch, and drivers to ensure disciplined execution.
This is a full time, in office position based in Edison, NJ. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned customer accounts and serve as primary point of contact
- Coordinate and oversee inbound and outbound shipment activity
- Manage container and shipment scheduling with customers and internal teams
- Monitor inventory levels and movement within the warehouse
- Prepare and send accurate inventory and activity reports to customers
- Ensure documentation is complete and accurate for all shipments
- Communicate professionally with customers via email and phone
- Coordinate closely with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure timely execution
- Identify service issues and resolve them with urgency and professionalism
- Maintain organized records and improve internal processes when opportunities arise
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Comfortable working with shipment data and inventory spreadsheets
- Technologically capable and quick to learn new systems
- Customer friendly and professional demeanor
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to learn quickly and continuously improve
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or account management preferred but not required
We value coachability, ownership, and accountability. Experience is helpful, but the willingness to learn quickly and take responsibility is more important.
