We are Signature Foot & Ankle, a fast growing Podiatry practice. We are looking for an awesome Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team and provide amazing care to our patients!
This isn’t your typical stuffy and boring doctor’s office. We have beautiful clinics that truly caters to our patients' needs, and you’ll be working with younger, charismatic doctors who make each day fun and enjoyable. We’re utilizing the most advanced software and technology possible to ensure a consistent 5-star patient experience (we currently have 1,700+ 5-star ratings!).

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Being the first point of contact for our patients in welcoming them into the practice; and the last point of contact when they are leaving.
- Answering multiple phone lines
- Scheduling appointments
- Scanning any relevant documentation
- Maintaining medical records
- Collecting and/or updating patients information and insurances
- Collecting co-pays / balances
- Interacting with all patients and visitors in a caring and respectful manner
- Running insurance authorizations and benefit verifications
- Verifying we accept patient’s insurance
- Comfortable explaining insurance benefits
- Keeping patients aware of any long wait times
- Stocking and cleanliness of the waiting room fridge and coffee bar
- Accepting packages and deliveries
- Supporting any daily business logistical needs
- Performing other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of Customer Service or Front Desk Telephone experience, preferred medical office/health care setting experience
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Maintains protected health information in accordance with HIPAA/HITECH privacy/security guidelines
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of clinic processes and medical terminology
- Strong computer knowledge and skills with a minimum typing speed of 30 AWPM. Able to navigate multiple system applications.
- Ability to interact with patients of all ages and developmental stages from all economic, educational, social, etc., backgrounds
- Ability to treat all patients with respect
- Ability to effectively communicate effectively in both verbal and written mediums
- Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to escalate concerns
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes
