Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Driver to join our rock and concrete hauling team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to transport rock and concrete efficiently and securely across designated routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including those with manual transmissions, across local and regional routes.
- Load and unload material properly and safely.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and route documentation in accordance with federal and state laws.
- Deliver material efficiently while adhering to scheduled routes, ensuring on-time arrivals and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and driving operations to prevent accidents or damage.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated.
- Familiarity with operating trucks equipped with manual transmissions.
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and adherence to safety regulations.
