I'm looking for independent RNs that are currently enrolled with Minnesota Health Care Programs. For those that are not enrolled, I will be more than happy to assist you to enroll. This program allows nurses to accept MA (Medicaid) payments directly, for providing complex care to clients, in their homes.
You are paid the full amount that the state of Minnesota allows for complex care. There are no benefits provided.
Ventilator experience is preferred. However, we will train motivated candidates.
Applicants must have a valid Minnesota nursing license. Candidates must possess reliability, honesty, good health assessment and communication skills, and compassion.
This job is to provide care for me. My condition is very stable. I am an adult male with Muscular Dystrophy and I am ventilator-dependent. I need maximum assistance with all ADLs, positioning, and transfers. Nurses who provide care for me have to be willing to acknowledge that I prefer to direct my own care.
Duties include trach suctioning, trach and g-tube care, g-tube feedings/water flushes, dressing me, patient lift assisted transfers, and to accompany me on outings like walks, medical appointments, and other activities. I have my own transport van. My mother lives with me and also provides care.
Shifts are 9pm - 9am (flexibility is possible).
This will include weekend coverage, but not necessarily all of them and/or on the same weekend. I also need care on holidays.
