Overview
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Drivers to join our team. If you live within the 48 contingent states we are looking for you! You MUST OWN your own truck!
This role is crucial for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods while providing exceptional customer service. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle (either a 16' or 26' box truck with the necessary insurance and licensing). Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road. Since you will be operating under our authority; you will be required to have our company info on the side of your vehicle when driving with us (you can either make one or you can have one made). You will be paid per load less a dispatch fee of 10%.
Duties
- Operate a box truck to transport goods from warehouses to various post office locations or warehouse to warehouse.
- Execute route driving efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance.
What You Need
- 16' or 26' Box Truck - MUST have proper license (dry/reefer)
- Pallet Jack
- At least 4 straps
- Smart Phone w/Amazon Relay app
- Valid Drivers License
- W9
- MVR
- EDL or Log Book - I can provide materials in the event you have neither of them
- Must have DOT Medical Card
- No major traffic violations in the past 5 years
- Our company signage on both doors
- Auto liability insurance with a minimum of $1 million in coverage.
- Cargo liability insurance with a minimum of $100,000 in coverage.
- Workers' compensation insurance as per state regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of route navigation.
- Experience in courier services or moving operations is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands associated with delivery tasks.
- Previous experience in load unloading procedures is highly desirable.
- Must have 1+ more years of previous provable box truck experience.
- Must be reliable and on time.
