Small growing law firm and separate title agency located in Altamonte Springs has an opening for a part-time or full-time real estate attorney in their Orlando office. Essential functions of the position include, but, are not limited to:
- Coordinating due diligence for a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions,
- Reviewing and summarizing title commitments and surveys
-Working closely with Attorneys, Buyers and Sellers to clear title and obtain title policies
- Reviewing and summarizing UCC, judgment, tax and other lien searches
-Preparing and filing a variety of documents, including, deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, etc.
-Obtaining permits and other documents
- Coordinating with various city offices boards, and agencies
- Preparing and distributing closing binders
- Preparing closing checklists and coordinate the closing process for various transactions commercial and residential real estate transactions
-Dealing with HOA and COA law, preferred but not required.
- Ability to draft and review business/real estate contracts
- Business formation, including business closings.
- Ability to review surveys and provide a detailed analysis
- Assist/draft easements for right of way, ingress/egrees, billboards, for parcel splits, etc.
- Review/Red-line Purchase Sale Agreements for both Real Estate and Businesses
- Draw up contracts;
- Assist Partner with intakes of potential clients (fromt time to time);
- Other tasks as needed from time to time
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of commercial/residential real estate and business law experience, preferably in a small law firm setting, an in-house legal department or a title company
Qualified applicants should also possess:
- Strong work ethic and ability to self-start
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent, quality work product to both attorneys and clients
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with little supervision and to seek help when needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Managing other paralegals and assistants.
