Job Summary
This position provides leadership to managers and supervisors for all daily operations of AVANGRID Networks Energy Control Centers. Responsible for maintaining the safety, reliability, and security of the Company's electric and gas transmission and distribution systems. Oversee the use of the Energy Control System (ECS) and Gas SCADA System. Develops departmental goals related to corporate goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Oversee Energy Control Centers during normal electric and gas system operations, electric and gas emergencies, and incident investigations. (30%,P)
Oversees activities associated with real-time electric and hydro compliance of Federal regulations (NERC and FERC) including training, and system operations during normal and emergency operations. (10%,P)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or in a related field and a minimum of 10 (ten) years of broad experience in electric and gas transmission, distribution systems, SCADA and Outage Management systems and Energy Control Systems including, emergency restorations, real-time operations and control, and compliance. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Thorough working knowledge of all company policies and procedures, PUC and PSC Rules, bargaining unit agreements and other federal, state and local regulations and requirements related to the assignment.
