Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Repairing and assembling metal garbage containers (2yd, 4yd, 20yd, and 30yd containers
- Mig and arc welding on containers, cutting old containers apart for metal scrap
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including time spent on tasks and materials used.
- Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
- Stay up-to-date with manufacturer instructions and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding, knowledge of Miller equipment preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a welder, preferably with heavy trucks or similar equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of welding and all associated systems
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus, but not necessary.
- Proven experience as a welder in a rural or similar environment.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Work Location: In person, Sonoma, CA 95476
Employment Type: Part-time, Hourly
Work Hours: Standard business hours of 10am-4pm, with occasional extra hours and weekends as needed for emergency repairs.
Salary Range: Is dependent on experience and qualifications
