The Role
We're hiring in-house counsel to own Parkview's legal function end-to-end. You'll be embedded directly with senior leadership, handling everything from day-to-day contract work and court filings to collections enforcement, HR matters, and general business representation.
The right leader with become part of the partnership structure of this firm and weigh in on investment decision from a legal perspective. This is a broad, high-ownership role — ideal for a self-starter who wants to be the go-to legal resource for a growing financial services company.
What We're Looking For
- JD from law school; active bar admission in CT required (NY bar a strong plus)
- 1+ years of experience across commercial law, collections/creditor's rights, business litigation, or general in-house practice
- Comfort operating as a generalist — able to context-switch across contracts, filings, HR, and compliance in a fast-moving environment
- Strong drafting skills and sound independent judgment
- Knowledge of UCC Article 9, alternative lending regulations, or commercial finance a plus but not required
We will pay for continuing education in our field. We are happy to be flexible here.
Compensation
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
- Strong preference for full time in office. Willing to do work from home on specific day of week. Can be flexible.
- Open to fractional or part-time arrangements for the right candidate — compensation structured accordingly
- Direct exposure to deal flow, business development, and a growing alternative lending platform
What You'll Do
- Contracts & Transactional Work — Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including MCA contracts, ISO agreements, promissory notes, personal guarantees, settlement agreements, and vendor contracts
- UCC Filings & Lien Management — Prepare and file UCC-1 financing statements, amendments, continuations, and terminations; conduct lien searches and monitor collateral positions across merchant portfolios
- Court Filings & Litigation Support — Prepare and manage court filings, coordinate with outside litigation counsel, and support enforcement actions including judgment collections and UCC foreclosures
- Collections — Oversee pre-litigation demand, creditor enforcement strategy, debtor negotiations, and coordination with collection counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- HR & Employment Matters — Handle employment agreements, contractor classifications, onboarding documentation, HR policy drafting, and day-to-day employee relations issues
- General Business Representation — Serve as primary legal resource for business operations including regulatory compliance, state licensing, commercial finance disclosure requirements, entity matters, and ad hoc legal questions from the team
Pay: $73,352.40 - $200,000.00 per year
