The Machine Operator is responsible for all aspects of machine operation and changeover activities to achieve and maintain production requirements. The Machine Operator is also responsible for performing all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately while providing leadership principles to the production line
Duties assigned:
· Continually monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements are maintained.
· Make minor machine adjustments to maintain dimensional/product quality.
· Maintain standard production rates, low waste, and meet all stated customer requirements.
· Complete all necessary documentation and reports.
· On-the-job training
· Be able to follow instructions and assemble tooling.
· Be able to use hand tools.
· Be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Be able to quickly count in increments of 2, 4, and 6.
· Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Understand and complete production paperwork
· Understand and knowledgeable in running 1-2 types of Machines
· Capable of troubleshooting all Machinery when needed
· Must report any unsafe acts and conditions to the appropriate manager
· Responsible for working as a team to ensure the plant is always in audit ready condition.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned within reason.
Working conditions and Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
The employee must frequently lift, push and/or move items weighing 40 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Facility may incur extreme temperature variation and other hazards as incurred in the manufacturing process. May be exposed to loud noise from moving forklifts and production equipment.
Position requires wearing company provided PPE:
1. Safety Glasses
2. Hearing protection
3. Safety Shoes/boots
4. Fall protection as needed
5. Hardhat when working at elevated levels or under overhead work being performed.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
