Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of landscape maintenance technicians to complete daily tasks efficiently and safely.
- Plan and organize work schedules for landscaping, lawn care, gardening, tree care, irrigation, and general maintenance projects.
- Perform hands-on landscape tasks including planting, pruning, mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control to ensure vibrant and healthy outdoor spaces.
- Oversee the installation of new landscapes and construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct quality inspections to guarantee work meets company standards and client expectations.
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members on landscape techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and supplies; coordinate repairs or replacements as needed for optimal performance.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, gardening or horticulture.
- Supervising or leadership experience in outdoor or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of tree care practices and irrigation systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
- Skilled in using landscaping tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Good communication skills to motivate team members and liaise with clients or project managers.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to landscape construction and maintenance activities. Stratum Excavation is a tight knit, efficient, growing small company. We perform excavation services for home building, and also infrastructure improvements in the Spokane/ Coeur d’Alene area. We are most willing to train any individual who is willing to provide ethic and commitment to learning the trade. Tardiness, absences, inattentiveness, carelessness or drug use will not be tolerated. There is lots of room for growth and wage will be dependent on experience. I will pay what a person is worth. Experience in the earthwork industry is required for interview.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
