American Jerky Company is looking for a Stand up Double Reach Forklift Operator for our Ontario, CA location.
** Must have experience working in FOOD MANUFACTURING to be considered.**
Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move product from one location to another while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Duties:
- Operate forklift in a safe manner to move materials and packages.
- Unload materials and packages from trucks and move to designated areas.
- Unload trucks by pulling pallets apart at the half-pallet jack.
- Unload freight into designated storage areas.
- Move pallets of product around in the warehouse.
- Ensure that inventory is accounted for and that there are no shortages of product in the warehouse.
- Maintain the warehouse by cleaning it daily, picking up trash, and taking care of maintenance on vehicles.
- Cleaning equipment will be required to ensure the safety of the warehouse during maintenance periods.
- Maintain equipment records by filling out reports and paperwork daily.
- Working knowledge of inventory control software, including MS Excel, shipping software, and order entry software.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Education & Experience:
·High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
·Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred.
·Ability to read and understand computerized orders and logs, as well as communicate with other team members.
·Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have Sit Down / Stand Up Reach/ Electric Pallet jack experience working in freezer and warehouse environment
- Must have food manufacturing experience.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
