Responsibilities

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments for multiple providers and specialties.

Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally while assisting patients with scheduling needs.

Coordinate referrals and appointments based on provider recommendations and patient needs.

Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and appointment eligibility.

Obtain prior authorizations or referrals when required.

Maintain accurate scheduling records within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Communicate appointment instructions and preparation requirements to patients.

Manage provider schedules to maximize efficiency while minimizing scheduling conflicts.

Respond to patient inquiries and route messages appropriately.

Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.

Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Perform other scheduling and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 1 year of medical scheduling, medical office, or healthcare customer service experience preferred.

Experience scheduling for multiple providers or specialties is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations.

Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred

Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
