Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals according to established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, sanitizing kitchen surfaces, and properly disposing of waste to uphold health and safety regulations.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and ensuring a tidy environment for guests.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health codes.
- Assist with building/putting together new equipment
- Assist with general cleaning operations
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy supplies, moving equipment, and organizing storage areas safely.
- Operate kitchen equipment like dishwashers, ovens, and food prep tools efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with food handling and service during busy periods or special events such as banquets or large gatherings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, knives, and prep tools.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health and safety standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards hospitality service.
- Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and restaurant operations is a plus.
