What You'll Do
- Prepare and maintain monthly general and standard journal entries, income and balance sheet statements, account reconciliations, and various accounting reports
- Prepare and/or review journal entries for monthly close
- Provide account analysis on assigned general ledger accounts
- Prepare timely monthly and annual financial statements
- Assist with banking functions
- Review vouchers, invoices, checks, and other records for accuracy
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial entries, documents, and reports
- Assist with annual budget preparation
- Support the annual audit and CFR preparation
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of revenue vs. rate
- Provide training and oversight to A/R and A/P functions as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (required)
- Minimum of 4 years of related accounting experience (required)
- Not-for-profit industry experience strongly preferred
- A self-starter mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
