Duties
- Lead daily shift operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer experiences
- Oversee food safety, food handling, and proper food preparation procedures in compliance with health standards
- Manage POS transactions using Toast systems, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly
- Support sales goals through suggestive selling and product knowledge sharing
- Supervise team members on shift, assign tasks, and motivate staff to maintain high performance standards
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols within the café environment
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring product freshness
Experience
- Previous barista experience with a strong understanding of tea and coffee brewing techniques and café operations
- Proven leadership skills or experience in a supervisory role within the food industry or retail environment
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is highly preferred
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling, retail math calculations, and food industry transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and serving regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
