Job Summary:
We are seeking a polished, hospitality-focused professional who excels at building relationships, anticipating member needs, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced private club environment to join our premier racquet sports facility Concierge Team.
The Welcome Desk Concierge is the first point of contact for members and guests entering our state-of-the-art facility. This role requires a welcoming presence, exceptional organizational skills, efficient computer skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced, multi-service environment.
The Concierge is responsible for providing check-in assistance, booking courts, answering inquiries, supporting our club pros and our hospitality director with event coordination, and directing guests to amenities such as court locations, our equipped warmup room, pro shop and bar.
The Concierge serves as a welcoming and knowledgeable point of contact for our members and guests, providing personalized services to enhance their overall experience. This role involves coordinating requests, providing knowledgeable and informative on-site information, booking court reservations, and assisting with a variety of club services. The ideal candidate is resourceful, service-driven, and committed to delivering excellence in hospitality. Candidate must be over 21 years old or older, as the position may require occasional basic alcohol serving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all members and guests with a warm, professional, and service-oriented demeanor.
- Check members and guests in and out for court reservations, lessons, events, and social activities.
- Manage daily court schedules for tennis, pickleball, and padel using club management software.
- Book lessons, clinics, and private sessions with accuracy and in coordination with coaching staff.
- Provide accurate information about club offerings, policies, hours, and events.
- Handle member account inquiries and process payments for services, merchandise, and food/beverage charges utilizing modern POS system.
- Support a small pro shop by processing retail purchases and promoting gear, accessory and apparel sales.
- Direct guests to appropriate facilities including locker rooms, courts, the bar/lounge, and pro shop.
- Answer phones and respond to emails with clarity and efficiency.
- Assist in check-in and logistics for tournaments, social mixers, and club events.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a seamless member experience.
- Respond promptly and professionally to requests, inquiries, or complaints.
- Liaise with internal departments to fulfill requests efficiently (housekeeping, food & beverage, locker rooms, maintenance, inventory, etc.).
- Support club events by promoting activities and assisting with registration and coordination.
- Maintain the appearance and organization of the concierge welcome desk and lobby area.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hospitality, customer service, or concierge-related roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in booking and scheduling systems software.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
