Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizza styles following established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, dough sheeters, and slicing tools efficiently and safely
- Maintain strict food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic workspace
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new toppings or pizza varieties based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Monitor food production levels to meet high-volume demands while maintaining quality standards
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling and safety protocols throughout all stages of preparation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and exceptional guest satisfaction
- Execute cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and other culinary methods as needed for specialty items
Experience
- Prior experience as a Pizzamaker or in a similar food preparation role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques required for precise ingredient preparation
- Experience with recipe adherence, menu execution, and high-volume production environments preferred
- Background in culinary arts with fine dining or catering experience considered an asset
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in fast-paced settings
- Previous roles involving dietary aide tasks or dietary department experience are advantageous but not mandatory
