Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, air brake inspections, wheel alignments, and shock & strut replacements to keep equipment running smoothly.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to support repairs or custom modifications.
- Operate heavy machinery tractor-trailers safely during maintenance or repair procedures.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements.
- Assist with equipment assembly, disassembly, testing, and general maintenance tasks to maximize operational uptime.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic in a dealership or heavy equipment environment with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and heavy truck repair including transmissions and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical systems and hydraulics effectively.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and other fabrication tools.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems including air brakes, suspension components, shocks & struts, HVAC systems for trucks or industrial equipment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs or maintenance needs to clients or team members.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in various environmental conditions; willingness to work on-call or overtime if required.

Pay: $36.00 - $45.00 per hour
