We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. Duties
- Perform thorough inspections and diagnostics on diesel engines and related components.
- Execute repairs on various systems, including brake repair, transmission, and vehicle maintenance.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to conduct repairs efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and efficiency in the shop environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in diesel repairs, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
- Familiarity with equipment repair techniques and best practices.
- Ability to work with hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Experience in welding is a plus, enhancing the ability to perform various repairs.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
