Location: Tampa, Florida (with regional footprint travel)
Salary: $140,000 – $190,000

About the Role
Are you a visionary leader in ecological design looking to make a lasting environmental impact? Our client is seeking a skilled Ecological Restoration Project Manager to spearhead the design and delivery of stream, wetland, and natural habitat restoration projects. While primarily focusing on Florida’s unique ecosystems, you will have the exciting opportunity to influence projects across the company's entire geographic footprint.As a key leader, you will own your projects from concept to completion—managing scope, schedule, and budget. Beyond technical delivery, you will nurture vital regional client relationships, mentor a talented technical team, and collaborate with cross-functional experts to expand our natural and water resource business.
Core Responsibilities
- Project & Financial Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, establish pricing, track budgets, manage accounts receivable, and oversee subconsultants.
- Technical Oversight: Lead multi-discipline teams through stream/wetland assessments, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, GIS mapping, and civil drafting.
- Client & Community Relations: Deliver impactful client presentations, spearhead community engagement, interface with landowners, and navigate joint permit applications.
- Business Growth: Coordinate with company leaders on marketing proposals, extra work orders, and open-end contract task proposals.
What You Bring (Required)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience specifically designing ecological restoration and mitigation projects.
- Licensing: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida.
- Certification: Rosgen Level 4 Certification or a similar accredited river course designation.
- Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel as required for project success.
Highly Desirable Attributes (Preferred)
- Certifications: PMP/CAPM or Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) certifications.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced 2D modeling, stormwater management design, and erosion control experience.
- Industry Networks: Existing, strong relationships with local, state, and Federal regulatory communities (especially in Florida, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, and Virginia).
- Project Delivery: Proven track record with diverse delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Full Delivery) and successful business development.

- Field Work: Approximately 10% of the role involves outdoor field visits, assessments, and surveys across varying weather conditions, requiring occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
