Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, clinical assessment, and medical documentation, with the ability to work across diverse medical settings. The Nurse Practitioner will utilize advanced clinical skills, including diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and specialized procedures, to improve health outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews, to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal fillers when necessary.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties including emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and critical care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient data management.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support remote patient monitoring initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Demonstrated experience in medical office settings or hospital environments with exposure to emergency room, ICU, or trauma center care.
- Proficiency in working with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth; experience with medical coding (CPT, ICD-10) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, diagnostic evaluation techniques including sonography and laboratory specimen processing.
- Experience performing complex procedures such as spinal taps, dermal fillers, tube feeding management, and ventilator support is advantageous.
- Familiarity with specialty areas including gastroenterology, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, or infectious disease care is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration; ability to work with diverse populations including children and seniors.
- Critical care experience or working within Level I/II trauma centers is highly valued; prior involvement in clinical research or teaching hospital environments is a plus.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
